UREEQA’s Revolutionary Platform is Open to the Public
Barely a year after the idea to protect, manage and monetize creative work using blockchain technology was first hatched, UREEQA’s revolutionary platform is live.
Following four months in a closed beta that saw UREEQA successfully validate and Responsibly Mint™ work from several renowned Creators across a variety of fields (including BK the Artist, Vapor95, and Bryce Soderberg from Lifehouse), we’re inviting everyone else to the party.
And as per usual, our passionate and growing community will be front and center as we take this significant step toward establishing a final product.
Those who participate as Creators as the platform launches as a minimum viable product (MVP) today will have their work automatically placed in UREEQA’s Daily Batch, where their work will be permanently time-stamped on the blockchain. The record will be hashed to the blockchain in a group, with other creative work, once daily, for free. We call this Level 1.
Creative work that is uploaded to the platform will be curated by the UREEQA team and displayed in UREEQA’s community feed, allowing Creators to showcase their creative work. From time to time, UREEQA will run sponsorship programs whereby selected creations in the community will be sponsored for full Validation and monetization opportunities in the UREEQA Marketplace. This enables Creators from around the world to showcase their work to the world and monetize it.
Full Validation (Level 2) is a more rigorous form of protection for creative work where, through individual staking claims, the user has their own dedicated hash on the blockchain. This allows users to post important information to the blockchain, like authorship details, artist residency, employment information and dates of creation. These are critical pieces of evidence that legacy copyright agencies typically collect for copyright registration. Additionally, and most powerfully, UREEQA provides Creators with the ability to attach supporting documents to the record that are also hashed on the blockchain. Supporting documents include any evidence generated by the Creator that helps prove that they are the author and/or owner of the work. Some powerful examples include photos of the Creator in the act of creating the work, previous sketches and versions, and ownership assignment documents. By writing these supporting documents to the hash on the blockchain, the Creator is provided an additional level of proof that they can reference in the future. Users will need to reach out to us directly for Level 2 protection and we will carefully guide you through the process.

Anyone can jump in, and several types of creative work are on the table, from music, video, visual art and photographs to written works (like books and whitepapers).
Not only will this give you a chance to protect and monetize your work as a Creator or earn UREEQA tokens (URQA) and rewards as a Validator, but it will give us a more thorough opportunity to enhance the platform from every angle as the project itself continues to grow and evolve.
